"There is no need to search; achievement leads to nowhere. It makes no difference at all, so just be happy now! Love is the only reality of the world, because it is all one, you see. And the only laws are paradox, humour and change. There is no problem, never was and never will be. Release your struggle, let go of your mind, throw away your concerns and relax into the world. No need to resist life; just do your best. Open your eyes and see that you are far more than you imagine. You are the world, you are the universe; you are yourself and everyone else too! Wake up, regain your humour. Don't worry, you are already free!" Dan Millman

Intuitively and Spiritually, I agree.
Rationally and Intellectually, I don't.

How to align?

Great quote...

Rationally and intellectually, what bit don't you agree with?

Here's my thoughts (kinda breaking it down on the rational and intellectual side)...

What's rational about searching?
Where does achievement lead (if not nowhere?)

"Love is the only reality of the world... And the only laws are paradox, humour and change"

Nah- I don't agree. Anything that has "only" in it verges on fundamentalism... an answer. There are no answers to the big questions. THe universe is too paradoxical, too funny, too dynamic (constantly changing) for that! (cheeky grin :))

Also, it is true, from the perspective of Love, that love is the only reality. From the perspective of the mind, all sorts of other more complicated and annoying things are real.

Which reality do you want to align with? Are you coming from the perspective of Love, or the perspective of the individuated mind? If the mind, why?

"Release your struggle, let go of your mind, throw away your concerns..."

Easy to say when you've done it. If you haven't done it, the key is love and gentleness. The key to melting the resistance of the mind is ACCEPTING it, as it is. Loving your mind with its frustrating annoying habits, its negative corridoors. Its crazy booby traps. Let your heart be big enough to love all of it. Eventually, then, it will release itself.

"You are the world, you are the universe, you are yourself and everyone else too!"
There are plenty of rational quantum phsyics type explanations for that one, yes?

"Wake up, regain your humour. Don't worry, you are already free!"

Most of these are instructions, so there is no rational content. Although you might rationally resist them because someone is telling you what to do!

"You are already free."

That is the real statement here.

And how, rationally, can you prove that you are not?

... Great topic!
